US News and World Report have listed the 10 most dangerous states in America, with some photos considered among the most violent.

The southwestern state is a high tourist destination known for its beautiful landscapes, national parks and dry deserts.

Another southern state, Arkansas had a violent crime rate of 620 per 100,000 and a property crime rate of 2,229 per 100,000.
